1. Is it necessary to have an account to make use of the tool?
  2. The ISMR Query Tool is available for academic or research purposes. Some of the resources are available for non-registered users, such as the Calendar-Views. To make plots, maps, data mining and other analysis resources (as well as to download ISMR data), a registered account is required (without any charge).

  3. How to create an account on the ISMR Query Tool?
  4. Please, use the form to ask for an account creation. The form is not automatic (your request will be send to the Space Geodesy Study Group). The credentials will be sent by email with a temporary password.

  5. How to change my temporary password?
  6. Use the 'My Profile' section to change your password.

  7. I forgot my username/password. How to proceed?
  8. Please, use the contact form to ask for an account recover. A new temporary password can be created and sent by email.

  9. What is the integrated database?
  10. The integrated database is an effort to concentrate monitoring data from different station networks in the same database. Currently, data from CIGALA/CALIBRA, ICEA ( http://gnss.icea.gov.br/ ) and LISN (http://lisn.igp.gob.pe/) are available. ISMR data from CIGALA/CALIBRA and ICEA share the same format (standard ISMR with 62 columns, time in the GPS time system). Data from LISN have only S4, azimuth and elevation (time in the UTC system).

  11. How to report a bug on the ISMR Query Tool?
  12. Please, use the form to report any bug or to contact our team for questions or suggestion regarding the ISMR Query Tool capabilities.

  13. How to cite the ISMR Query Tool on my publications?
  14. If your research applies some output, such as plots, calendars or maps, or has any benefits of the ISMR Query Tool capabilities, a citation for the following paper should be inserted: "VANI, Bruno César; SHIMABUKURO, Milton Hirokazu; MONICO, João Francisco Galera. Visual exploration and analysis of ionospheric scintillation monitoring data: The ISMR Query Tool. Computers & Geosciences (2017), http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.cageo.2016.08.022 . To include data provision in the acknowledgments section, please, use further information available in the terms of use page .

  15. Can I download the ISMR data with a registered account?
  16. The ISMR (indices) data can be downloaded via ISMR Query Tool for academic or research purposes. Use the Download ISMR page.

  17. How do I know if the data are available for a given station and time?
  18. An overview of the data daily availability (by station) can be assessed via the Calendar-Views, by year (see example for the current year) or by station (see example for the PRU2 station).

  19. Is it possible to have access to the raw data (50 Hz) or RINEX files from the monitoring stations?
  20. Currently, the access to RINEX data or raw data (50 Hz) requires efforts from the support team. Therefore, for such purpose it demands the creation of a joint collaboration project. For such cases, please, contact the head of our Study Group (Prof. Joao Francisco Galera Monico – galera@fct.unesp.br).
